Arrow Exterminators, Parent Company of Nader's Pest Raiders, Reflects on Successful Year in Business

In 2020, Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators, parent company of Nader's Pest Raiders, was recognized as a top workplace in Atlanta for the 3rd year in a row by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Not only was Arrow ranked as a top workplace, but they received the distinguished honor of the #1 Top Workplace in the Large Companies category. The Top Workplaces Award is based solely on team member feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage LLC. The survey measures several aspects of a workplace culture including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few. “Arrow Exterminators has a unique family-focused, entrepreneurial culture that is based on integrity and operating with transparency and a clear conscience,” said Shay Runion, Chief Human Resources Officer of Arrow Exterminators. “We want to partner with like-minded team members who are also focused on growth, who share our goals and principles, and our family culture. As our vision states, we want to hire, train and retain the best people and we know that the Top Workplaces distinction will help propel our recruiting efforts, and further strengthen our presence in the Atlanta Metro Area.”

Another prestigious honor was awarded to Arrow’s Chief Executive Officer, Emily Thomas Kendrick, who was named one of the Most Admired CEOs in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. This significant recognition is awarded each year to CEO’s who demonstrate a strong record of innovation in their field, outstanding financial performance, a commitment to quality, a strong vision, a commitment to diversity in the workplace, and contributions to the metro community.

Kendrick stated, “I was truly honored to receive this prominent distinction this past year. I would not be able to do what I do without all of our amazing 2,600 plus team members we have here at Arrow.”

In the beginning of August, Arrow Exterminators held the company’s first ever virtual Fiscal Year Kickoff meeting through a live virtual production in Atlanta, GA. With over 400 team members in attendance online, the two-day event celebrated achievements from the prior fiscal year including a record-breaking milestone of achieving double-digit revenue growth for the tenth year in a row. The meeting also focused on a strong start to the 2020-2021 fiscal year and introduced the internal fiscal year “Win the Day” theme. To ensure the safety and protection of their team members, Arrow provided the unique ability to attend the meeting from their homes as well as from offices across the country.

Over the past year, Arrow Exterminators has expanded into many different markets in the United States. The strategic mergers included DC Scientific Pest Control in Gardendale, Tuscaloosa, and Winfield, AL, Cannon Pest Control in Auburn, AL, Kelly’s Pest Control in Saraland, AL and Lewis Cobb Pest Control Inc. in Orlando, FL. In addition to the aforementioned mergers, Arrow also opened four additional offices in the following cities to better support customers in those areas:  Jacksonville Beach, FL, Orlando, FL, Port Charlotte, FL, and Norcross, GA.

“We are excited for the phenomenal growth we have seen in 2020. These new locations contribute to Arrow’s list of 137 service centers throughout the United States and is strategic to our growth objective of $300 million and beyond,” said Tim Pollard, President and Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to what is to come in 2021.”

With expansion comes an opportunity for internal growth for Arrow’s team members and the Corporate Support Leadership team. Over the past year, Arrow promoted several of its leadership team members in order to make the company stronger, healthier and poised for future goals. The following team members were promoted in 2020: Tim Pollard was promoted to President and COO, and Mickey Thomas, Frank Roy, and Brannon Gilllis were all promoted to Senior Vice President of their departments.  Steve Bolden, Mark Moskwiak, and Don Miller were all promoted to Regional Vice President of Operations for their respective regions, and Jason Pelham, Ben Holloway, Cathy Houde, Alyson Gilleland, and Hali Smith were all promoted to Vice President of their departments.
