Fall is here and a variety of squirrels, rodents and other wildlife are looking for warm places to make their homes. Where better than in your attic?

So, now that you know how they are getting in – how can you keep them out? Here are a few recommendations to help keep your home free of squirrels, rats and other wildlife this fall:
- Cut back tree branches at least 6-8 feet from your home
- Ensure all openings around utility lines and pipes entering your home are well-sealed
- Make sure all attic vents are secured
- Install a cap in your chimney
- Frequently survey the outside of your home for possible entry points
